^Lot 1393 (VENEZUELA) COLOMBIA, round "imitation cob" 2 reales, fantasy date "184" (ca. 1815), quadrants

(VENEZUELA) COLOMBIA, round "imitation cob" 2 reales, fantasy date "184" (ca. 1815), quadrants of cross transposed, NGC VF 35. Cal-747; KM-C13.1. While currently cataloged as Caracas, this piece is on a round flan (weight not specified in the slab) as opposed to the irregular flans of Caracas issues, and punches are different as well, so experts are now assigning it to Santa Marta in Colombia. Good full cross and lions and castles showing bold denomination 2 above and below and M to left, full but slightly off-center pillars-and-waves with particularly bold date, old marks to left, richly toned all over.
